Exit and Emergency Light Testing
- A test in accordance to AS/NZS 2293.2 is conducted to ensure there is a safe level
of light available in the event of an emergency or power failure to permit safe evacuation
of the building. The test will also make sure that the current emergency lighting
is operating as it should be in the event of an emergency.
- This test is conducted to make sure that in the unfortunate event of an emergency,
the people inside the building can exit safely. Powerdata NSW will manage the results
from the tests and ensure that retests and certificates are provided before the due
dates. We can provide this service if there are no preferred electrical contractors.
Electrical Switchboard Thermal Imaging (Detecting any faults before they occur)
- Thermal imaging of electrical switchboards can help prevent faults before they occur.
By analysing the heat distribution problem areas can be determined and a solution
can be developed before they cause more serious and costly damage. We can provide
this service if there are no preferred contractors.
Test and Tag Electrical Equipment
- Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000, it is the obligation of all employers
to regularly test and tag electrical appliances to make sure they are safe to use.
Powerdata NSW will ensure that these electrical articles are tested and tagged as
required in accordance to the AS/NZS 3760 guidelines.
- Each electrical appliance is checked to ensure that no cables have been damaged,
there is correct polarity, earth leakage, correct earthing, etc. Powerdata NSW will
manage the results from the tests and ensure that retests and certificates are provided
before the due dates. We can conduct the testing service if there are no preferred
contractors.
RCD Testing
- RCD's (Residual Current Device) are a method of protection when a fault occurs with
an appliance or a person touches an energized electrical device. In order to meet
the Australian Standards it is important that these devices are tested regularly.
Test frequencies are dependent on a number of factors including where the RCD is
being used and the type of RCD being used. Powerdata NSW will mange the frequency
of the tests by using its advanced management software and as a result guarantee
that the testing is completed on time and to the appropriate standards.
Microwave Oven Radiation Testing
- Microwave ovens can emit dangerous levels of radiation to the people around them.
This is why a regular test should be completed to ensure the radiation is minimised
and there are no leakages. The test will ensure that the microwave ovens comply with
AS/NZS 3350.2.25 (Test For leakage) by completing a physical inspection of the leads,
and condition of the microwave unit. Also a radiation test around the unit will be
conducted followed by and energy test of the microwave oven to ensure safety and
compliance to regulations.
